Myers - Hines pledge vows

   Louise Hines of Baton Rouge, La. and Robert Michael Myers II of Baton Rouge, La. exchanged double ring vows on Oct. 10, 2015 with the Very Rev. J. Mark Holland officiating.
   The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Hunter Hines Sr. of Baton Rouge, La. and the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Stavaul Prosser. 
   The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Myers of Edna and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Myers of Edna.
   The altar was adorned with arrangements of peekaboo roses, white hydrangeas, coral roses, peach stock, and peach snapdragons. The family pews were marked with Queen Anne’s lace and light peach roses.
   Wedding music was provided by The Magnolia Strings. Selections included Sheep May Safely Graze, Air Suite in D, Fanfare, and Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, all by J.S. Bach, and Hornpipe from Water Music by G.F. Handel. 
   Maid of honor was Caroline Buchanan Gardener of Shreveport, La.
   Bridesmaids were Susan Myers Dison of Houston, Katherine Creed Gold of Baton Rouge, La., Genevieve Prosser Burr of Baton Rouge, La., Lindley Hines Hines of Greenville, S.C., Mary Prosser Bogh of Burbank, Calif., and Mimi de Bessonet McIntosh of Stoney Brook, N.Y.
   Flower girls were Louise Ruth Dison of Houston, and Curry Cecile Hines of Greenville, S.C.
Greeters were Bella Mari Camilli and Chloe Lyn Camilli of Fort Worth, and Ann Margaret Burr and Eleanor Louise Burr of Baton Rouge, La.
   Serving as best man was Jason Earl Holmes of Houston.
   Groomsmen were Jonathan Matthew Dison of Houston, William Hunter Hines Jr. of Greenville, S.C., Charles Aumiller Hines of Stafford, Va., Robert Peterman Hines of Baton Rouge, La., Dhave Setabur of New York, and Michael Andrew Cauthen of Houston.
   Ringbearer was Jake Wayne Dison of Houston and Nelson Hulon Hines of Baton Rouge.
   Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was lovely in an ivory silk taffeta full-skirted gown with a white Venetian lace overlay on the open-backed bodice. She wore a cameo brooch, a gift from the groom’s mother, on the bustle.
   On her hair she wore a simple chapel-length veil of tulle held in place with a comb.
   The bride carried a bouquet of peekaboo roses, peach finess, lambs ear, seeded eucalyptus, Queen Anne’s lace, and pink tulips. Around the bouquet’s stem was wrapped her grandmother’s cross necklace, one of three pieces of jewelry her grandfather ever gave her.
   A reception was held at The Orangerie at Burden Botanical Gardens.
   The bride’s cake was a tiered white confection iced in almond butter cream.
   The groom’s cake was a tiered carrot cake with cream cheese icing and topped with chocolate-covered strawberries.
   A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at The Glassell Art Gallery. 
   Following wedding travel to Viceroy Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Baton Rouge, La.
   Louise is a 2002 graduate of University Laboratory School, a 2006 graduate of Louisiana State University, and a 2010 graduate of the Paul H. Hebert Law Center at LSU. She is employed as an assistant district attorney in Baton Rouge, La.
   Robert is a 1999 graduate of Edna High School and a 2003 graduate of Texas A&M University. He is employed as a project planner for Maintenance Enterprises Inc. LLC in Baton Rouge.
