Joe John Kusak, of La Salle, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at the age of 76. He was born on Nov. 9, 1938, in La Salle, to Emilie Kusak and the late Joe Frank Kusak.
Joe worked as a farmer and rancher his entire life. He touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity, and his willingness to help others. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be truly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Elaine Elles Kusak; mother, Emilie Kusak; daughter, Jaymie Sciba and her husband Will; sons, Joey Kusak and his wife Cindy, David Kusak and his wife Amie and J.J. Kusak and his wife Tanya; sisters, Mary Ann Ohrt and her husband Toby, and Lillie Schoener; brother, Johnny Kusak and his wife Katherine; grandchildren, Garrett Kusak, Cassie Tinkey (Brandon), Shawn Kusak, Joshua Kusak, Joshua Rosalez, Karagan Kusak, Sarah Kusak, Bill Sciba, Beau Sciba, Ky Kusak, and Lainey Sciba; great-grandchildren, Riley Tinkey and Kayden Kusak and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father; and brother in law, Larry Schoener.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jack Hutson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust Avenue, Victoria, Texas 77901.
