Cobra football prepares physically
The Industrial Cobra football team traveled to Boling on Aug. 20 to compete in a three-way scrimmage with the Louise Hornets and the Boling Bulldogs. The Cobras defeated Louise 2-0 and the Bulldogs defeated the Cobras 2-0. Head Coach and Athletic Director Kensey Allen said it was a great scrimmage and the team played very physical.
“We had touchdowns coming from Logan Gabrysch connecting with Peyton Prukop on a six-yard touchdown pass, and then scored again in the live quarter with Jay Sandoval finishing off an eight-minute 75-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown run,” said Allen. “We (the coaches) were very pleased on the night and just continue to look forward to working with our players to improve.”
The Industrial Junior Varsity team plays on Thursday, Aug. 27 at home against Shiner starting at 6 p.m. The Varsity Cobras will trave to Shiner on Friday, Aug, 28 for the first game of the season, starting at 7:30 p.m.
