Stranded driver thanks God, rescuer

I am not a risk taker and if you know me at all, I am beyond a planner and more than practical. My God was with me and my precious kids on the morning of June 18. I was on FM 1300 trying to make it to CR530(to my mom and dad's to get payroll done, and at that time did not know FM530 was also shut down) when we came up on some water over a low spot. It definitely looked drivable. I would have never put my kids in harms way, so we started across it!
Halfway through, my car stalls and we are stuck with water washing all around us! I tried to remain calm as to not alarm my son Croix, and when I looked in my rear view mirror, there was an angel man driving his Ranger right up to my car door!
Dorothy and Clyde Morton are without a doubt angels that God sent to rescue us. Mr. Morton pulled us to his house down the road without a second thought, where we went into their A/C filled house and gave my kiddos Capri suns.
This is why I will never live anywhere but a small town. He was just there waiting to help people, giving of his own time for others.
I am so thankful that my God always watches over me and my babies! And as we were talking I cannot help but feel that I know Dorothy from somewhere. Come to find out, their grandsons Cullen and Croix have gone to school together the last 3 to 4 years and I know their son Charlie very well.
Prayers now that when we get to my car later this evening that it will start. We are safe at home for now, and I could not be more grateful!
