EBLC host women in county gov’t

Female Jackson County officials were the guest speakers at the Eleanor Brackenridge Literary Club on April 15. The club met at the home of Carrie Baker. The program, “Women in County Government” included presentations from Michele Darilek, county auditor, Mary Horton, county treasurer, Donna Atzenhoffer, county tax assessor-collector, and Barbara Williams, county clerk. They explained their job responsibilities along with laws and regulations that guide their offices. Williams encouraged members to become poll workers for elections.
