Mercer - Bennatt set date

Miriam A. Patton of Vanderbilt announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Miriam Courtney Bennatt of Ganado, to Brandon Jay Mercer, son of Donnie and Julie Mercer, all of Ganado. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late B.G. Bennatt and the granddaughter of Miriam C. Patton of Spicewood. She is a 2007 graduate of Industrial High School and a 2013 graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor’s degree in health science and a minor in business administration. She is employed by BKB Oilfield Inc. in Ganado as an administrative assistant. The prospective groom is the grandson of Gene and Gloria Alexander of Ganado. He is a 2006 graduate of Ganado High School and a 2008 graduate of Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology with an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in natural gas compression. He is employed as a gas pipeline mechanic in Victoria with Energy Transfer. The couple will exchange vows at 3:30 p.m. on May 16, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Edna.
