Industrial ISD Board of Trustees chose a new AD/head football coach without leaving the district.

They chose Kensey Allen, offensive coordinator in football, an assistant coach for boys basketball and baseball at Industrial High School during the 2014-15 school year, which is his first year at IHS. He came to Industrial after being a teacher at Edna High School where he taught U.S. History and World History for eight years and coached Edna baseball.

The board approved a one-year probationary contract. His contract goes into effect on April 14. He will be replacing Jeff Rogers.

A full story will be published in the April 22 edition of the Jackson County Herald-Tribune.
