New IISD AD/head football coach to be hired April 13

Industrial Board of Trustees discussed hiring a new athletic director/head football coach during a called meeting on April 9. The following people were interviewed for the position: John David Caffey, Rice Consolidated High School; Cory McFall, Calhoun County High School; Gary VanSant, Waller High School; Neal Majewski, Giddings High School; Craig Charlton, Del Valle High School; Kensey Allen and Brandon Karl, both of Industrial.
IISD Superintendent Tony Williams said the board held a closed session to discuss personnel and to review the progress on the hiring process for a new AD/head football coach. The position was posted on March 5 and closed on March 26.
“We plan to hire the new AD/head football coach at the regular board meeting on Monday, April 13 (at 6 p.m. in the administration building),” Williams said.
Jeff Rogers was hired as the IISD athletic director and head football coach during a regular meeting on April 21 last year. Rogers will be resigning at the end of the school year for personal reasons.
