Kings Night dinner held in The Sanctuary

It was arguably the social event of the season. The Eleanor Brackenridge Literary Club held its third annual Kings Night dinner at The Sanctuary, the newly-renovated event center owned by Harrison and Jeanette Stafford and Joe and Margaret Hermes.
The Sanctuary is part of the old Presbyterian church in Edna the group is renovating. The Sanctuary has bloomed under the Stafford and Hermes’ loving restoration, with care taken to retain the original charm of the building.
The Kings Night celebration refers to the magi presenting their gifts to the Christ child, according to the New Testament. Keeping with the theme, Industrial High School students, Ashley and Sydney Pattillo, Lillian Hill and Natalie and Colleen Fellers provided entertainment for the evening which included singing Christmas carols and a delightful play adapted by EBLC member Diann Walleck that portrayed the story of the Magi from their wive’s perspective.
