Edna Lions Club selling chili supper tickets

Edna Lions Club Tail Wagger
The Edna Lions Club will be having its annual Chili Supper on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Sam Houston Cafeteria on the corner of Gayle Street and Gilbert Street in Edna.
Serving time will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Participants may dine in or take out. Each ticket is $6 and can be bought from any Edna Lions Club member. Individuals may also call Dennis Ray’s Repair Shop at 782-2338 for tickets. Edna Lions Club President Lynette Novak said the chili is homemade and will be served with rice and all the fixings. Lions Dennis Ray and Fred Westhoff are the head chefs.
Novak said the event is a regular fundraiser and all proceeds will be given to Edna Lions Club’s normal charitable operations. Individuals with a sweet tooth will be happy to find out there will be a bake sale at the chili supper. They will find a variety of cakes, cookies and other baked goods.
