Gonzales man injured in rollover accident

A 47-year-old man was injured when his tanker truck rolled over on State Highway 111 about 15 miles east of Yoakum, north of the Jackson County line on Dec. 26. John Salmon of Gonzales was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin.
Salmon was driving east when he went off the road. The vehicle came to a rest on its passenger side at about 2:45 p.m., according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper David Ralph. The tanker truck was carrying oil-field mud. The oil-field mud was pumped out of the vehicle by a second truck. Edna Fire/Emergency Medical Services, state highway patrol and Yoakum Fire/EMS responded to the accident.
