Twardowski indicted

 

The man who allegedly pushed Jackson County Deputy Bryan Martin over a bridge on Farm-to-Market 616 was recently indicted by a Jackson County grand jury on Dec. 5.
Edna’s Adam Twardowski, 33, is charged with one count of aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon causing bodily injury.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Andy Louderback, Martin, 31, stopped a vehicle on the FM 616 relief bridge near Lolita at 1 a.m. on Sept. 20 for a suspected drunk driver. The driver, Twardowski, proceeded to push Martin over the bridge and fled the scene. Martin, who fell about 18 feet, was able to push an alarm on his radio to alert the agency that he was injured. Martin suffered fractures to his left femur; broken ribs and injuries to his lowerback, Louderback said. Twardowski was arrested in Wharton County.
