Oscar Singleton

    Oscar Joseph Singleton, 71, formerly of Edna, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 in Friendswood after an extended illness. 
    Oscar was born July 22, 1943 in Edna,  living in Edna and graduated from Edna High School in 1961. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for three years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family.  He worked in the printing business for many years and became a skilled craftsman in his trade. 
    Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Drusilla Singleton.
    Loved ones who remain are his wife of 52 years, Carol Tomme Singleton; children, daughter, Deborah Williams and husband, Andy of Pearland and son, Kevin Singleton of Bedford; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Sean Williams, Heather Williams and Kaitlyn Singleton; great-grandchildren, Ava Baker, Alexa Baker and Kayleigh Williams; sisters, Diana Cosper and husband John of Wharton, Wanda Bonnot and husband, Carlos of Wharton; brothers, Michael Singleton and wife Carol, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Milton Singleton of Beaumont, Calif. and Ernest Singleton, Jr. of South Padre Island, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    A private family service was held in Pearland.
