Relay for Life raises $79,717

The 2014 Jackson County Relay for Life was another huge success, according to Jeri Garza, event chairman.  “We had a great turn out of people with lots of spirit,” Garza said. This year’s Relay volunteers raised $79,717 during the all night event. The Relay was held at Edna Cowboy Stadium on Oct. 25. Taking first place prize for their campsite was the Ganado Indians, while Edna Elementary came in second. The first place prize for talent was the Edna High School cheerleaders. Edna Elementary came in second. The Survivor Team and Troylene Jetton raised the most money.
