Accident at county line has no serious injuries

An accident near the Jackson/Dewitt county lines earlier today left two girls shaken but relatively unharmed. According to Mike McCracken with the Yoakum Herald-Times, the crew-cab pickup truck that contained the two girls was pulling a horse trailer over the Lavaca River bridge when they lost control and the truck went over the bridge. Yoakum EMS crews extracted the girls from the vehicle and they appeared to by unharmed, with the exception of a possible broken collar bone on one of the girls. The unidentified girls called their father, who was working nearby, for help. The trailer was teetering on the edge of the bridge, but according to McCracken, the horses were removed from the trailer and also appeared uninjured.
