Historical commission welcomes visitors

The Jackson County Historical Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 14 at the Chamber meeting room. Items on the agenda include the status of the Edna Mexican School Marker, sales of the Jackson County Cavalcade and future potential projects including computerizing cemetery data in the Shelby Collection, develop programs of historical interest at Texana Park, and researching the six Texian Camps in the county. Also to be considered is pursuing an historical marker for the Hernandez case. The public is invited to attend.
