Skalickys celebrate 50 years

Nelwyn and Gary Skalicky of Ganado celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by hosting a dinner for family and friends June 28 at Prasek’s Hillje Smokehouse. The couple had their first date on Sept. 1, 1961 and were married on June 27, 1964 in El Campo at the Evangelical United Brethren Church by Rev. Marvin M. Polson. Nelwyn and Gary were blessed with one son, Michael, and his wife, Kristin, and two children, Mikaela, 14, and Kamryn, 9 of Ganado.
