Cobra cheerleader is top athlete

    One of the stipulations for one of the awards Industrial senior Darcie Moreno earned at the Athletic Banquet, the Casey Wells All-Sports Award, is being involved in at least four sports and doing it with the most spirit and determination one can muster. Although she’s the one that works hard in every aspect of her life, according to her, she could never have done it without her family's support and their inspiration.
    “My parents have always been supportive of me in anything I do and they let me choose what activities I wanted to be involved in. They do encourage me to be the best that I can be and have always told me that as long as I can say I gave it my all and I enjoy playing, that is all that matters,” Moreno said. “I get inspiration from everyone, I look up to my sisters, my parents, my coaches, and my friends. I want them to be proud of me, so it drives me to keep going.”
