County garage sales are June 14

“Garage Sale Saturday” is just around the corner. It is the one day of the year when a multitude of garage sales are held in the county.
Sponsored by the Jackson County Herald-Tribune, Saturday, June 14 has been set as the date. Garage sale ads are available at the newspaper office at 306 S. Wells St. for a special price of $5 each if submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 6. All ads submitted after the deadline will run at the regular rate of $7.25 for the first 25 words.
The City of Edna has waived the garage sale permit fee and no permit is necessary for garage sales held on Saturday, June 14 only. Sales held on consecutive days will still require a permit. Call the city at 782-3122 for more information.
A complete listing of the garage sales will appear in the June 11 issue of the newspaper and on the newspaper’s website www.jacksonconews.com.
