Big dog helps in a big way

Dozer may be known as the big dog, but his size isn’t as big as his heart. The English Mastiff visits day cares and nursing homes as a certified therapy dog.
He is certified through Therapy Dogs Incorporated, a national organization with its corporate office located in Cheyenne, Wyo. Dozer has been a certified therapy dog for the past three years.
Dozer’s owner Gail McDonald of Ganado said individuals are amazed by his size and are immediately drawn to him. Dozer weighs 240 pounds and is six years old. McDonald said she has had him since he was six weeks old and has pictures of Dozer since birth. She said he was one of the biggest puppies in his litter.
“His father was actually 260 pounds,” McDonald said.
