Memorial Day storm brings flooding rain to county

After a sunny weekend, Memorial Day has turned out to be soggy. Thunderstorms rolled in early this morning bringing much needed rain all over Jackson County. Readers are reporting as much as six inches falling on the north part of Edna. Out on FM 1822 nearly three inches has been reported. On Navidad and Pear St. in Edna five inches have been reported. The National Weather Service has issued a small stream flood advisory and more rainfall is expected. We will update rainfall amounts from readers as they become available.
