Addie Lawrence

    Addie Davis Lawrence, 95, of Edna passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. She was born in Ezzell on Dec. 13, 1918, to the late Rufus Terry and Gracie Reid Miller.
    Addie worked at Mauritz Memorial Hospital Ganado, Edna Hospital and Victoria Orthopedic. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. She touched the hearts of everyone that knew her.
    Addie, is survived by her children, Helen Patricia Davis Edwards (George) of Opelika, Ala., Eleanor Maureen Davis Sample (John) of Edna, Pamela L. Davis Hughes of Freeport/Edna and James Edward Davis (Kathryn) of San Antonio; stepchildren, Mary Lois Lawrence Miller (Tommy) of Deer Park, and Charles Lawrence (Callie) of Pasadena; sister, Margie Miller Crabb (Wayne) of Edna; grandchildren, Keith Edwards, Douglas Sample (Karri), David Sample (Marla), Michelle Sample, Jacqueline Alvarez (Alex), Renee Dunagan (Bobby), Chris Davis (Rachael), Reagan Hughes (Marie), Kimberly Futrell (David), Carolyn Teague (Doug), Matt Miller, Blake Lawrence (Ashli), Craig Lawrence (Laura) and Lisa Krenek (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Nathan Edwards, Erin Edwards, Addie Sample, John Douglas Sample, Jackson Sample, Tyler Sample, Zachary Sample, Landry Sample, Rachael Alvarez, Malynne Childers, Jordan Childers, Katalina Garza, Tiffany Dunagan, Brittney Dunagan, Hunter Dunagan, Emalyn Davis, Everly Davis, Aubrey Hughes, Adalyn Hughes, Hunter Hoyt, Gillian Futrell, Aimee Miller, Branndon Miller, Jacob Lawrence and Aden Lawrence and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Alvin James Davis and H. Arden Lawrence; one sister and five brothers.
    Visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6-8 pm. at Oaklawn Funeral Home of Edna. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Church of Christ, 301 Robinson, Edna. Mr. Heath Rogers will be officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Edna.
    Pallbearers will be Doug Sample, David Sample, Keith Edwards, Chris Davis, Reagan Hughes, Nathan Edwards, Tyler Sample, Zachary Sample and Jordan Childers. Honorary pallbearers are remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
