Schools soar in 2014 Regional track meet for county

    The three schools: Edna, Ganado and Industrial attended the Region IV 1A and 2A meet at Judson High School Converse Stadium on April 25-26. The results were listed as follows:
    Cassidy High, Industrial, placed 4th in the 3200 run with a time of 12:33.70; Austin Sparks, Edna, placed 13th in the Long Jump with a distance of 19-05.50; Shermeka Thompson, Edna, placed 8th in the Discus with a distance of 98-03; Kimberly Ortolon, Edna, placed 5th in the Pole Vault with w distance of 9-06; Lauren Brogger, Industrial, placed 2nd in the Long Jump with a distance of 17-05.50; Mason Davis, Industrial, placed 13th in the Discus with a distance of 122-05; Kayden Kurtz, Industrial, placed 9th in the Pole Vault with a distance of 11-06; Meagan Williams, Ganado, placed 7th in the Pole Vault with a distance of 8-00; Kameron Smith, Ganado, tied for 9th with a distance of 5-06; Chase Svatek, Ganado, placed 7th in the Pole Vault with a distance of 11-06; Lauren Brogger, Industrial, placed 2nd in the Triple Jump with a distance of 35-01; Mason Davis, Industrial, placed 1st in the Shot put with a distance of 51-04; Logan Robinson, Industrial, placed 14th in the Shot put with a distance of 41-05; Crystal Coulter, Edna, placed 3rd in the High jump with a distance of 5-02; Kimberly Ortolon, Edna, placed 8th with a distance of 4-10; Edna 4x100 relay team, Iranesha Kuykendall, Kamryn Roman, Ashley Myers, Tishinna Wilkins, Alex Andres and Kiera Gaskin, placed 3rd with a time of 50.45; Will Maraggia, Industrial, placed 2nd in the 800 run with a time of 1:57.25; Clay Vesely, Ganado, placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.35; Sierra Pruitt, Industrial, placed 1st in the 100 dash with a time of 12.25; Austin Sparks, Edna, placed 4th in the 100 dash with a time of 11.22; Edna team Kamryn Roman, Tishinna Wilkins, Ashley Myers, Kiera Gaskin, Iranesha Kuykendall, Alex Andres placed 3rd in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:46.92; Ganado team Braydan Andel, Dalton Service, Garrett McCann, Kameron Smith placed 7th in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:35.51; Industrial team Anthony Sanchez, Daniel Santillan, Avery Milner, Montavias Coleman, Ethan Brown and Will Maraggia placed 5th in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:32.80; Emma Weschler, Ganado, placed 6th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 49.89; Clay Vesely, Ganado, placed 7th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.83; Neil Barton, Edna, placed 8th in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 42.68; Sierra Pruitt, Industrial, placed 1st in the 200 dash with a time of 26.03; Ashley Bridges, Ganado, placed 9th in the 1600 run with a time of 6:22.62; Cassidy High, Industrial, placed 4th in the 1600 run with a time of 5:52.47; Quintin Kirk, Edna, placed 6th in the 1600 run with a time of 4:42.92; Industrial team Anthony Sanchez, Montavias Coleman, Avery Milner, Will Maraggia, Jacob Muncrief, Daniel Santillan placed 4th in the 4x400 relay
    1st and 2nd place in each category advance to the 2014 State Track & Field Meet in Austin, on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10.
