Three schools represent well at Area track meets

    The Edna and Industrial girls and boys track teams competed at the 2014 Area Track Meet at Judson High School Converse Stadium on April 16-17.
    The Ganado boys and girls track teams attended their 2014 Area Track Meet on April 9.
    Results for Cobras: Industrial boys team: Anthony Sanchez, Daniel Santillan, Avery Milner and Montavias Coleman placed 4th in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:33.37; Will Maraggia placed 1st in the 800 M with a time of 2:00.33; Montavias Coleman placed 8th in the 400 M dash with a time of 56.49; Industrial boys team: Anthony Sanchez, Montavias Coleman, Avery Milner, Will Maraggia placed 1st in the  4x400 relay with a time of 3:29.58; Mason Davis won 1st in both the Shot Put with a distance of 48’11 and the Discus with a distance of 147’6; Logan Robinson placed 4th in Shot Put with a distance of 44’3; Kayden Kurtz placed 4th in the Pole Vault with a distance of 10'6; Leonardo Baez placed 6th in the 3200 M with a time of 10:56.76; Lauren Brogger placed 1st in the Triple Jump with a distance of 36’0 and placed 2nd in the Long Jump with a distance of 17’1; Sierra Pruitt placed 1st in the 100 M dash with a time of 12.15 and 1st in the 200 M dash with a time of 26.00; Kayla Weixelman placed 6th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 51.55; Cassidy High placed 1st in the 3200 M with a time of 12:24.92 and place 1st in the 1600 M with a time of 5:46.97; Industrial girls team: Madi Hernandez, Lauren Brogger, Haley Branum and Sierra Pruitt placed 4th in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:51.57
    Results for Edna: Austin Sparks placed 4th in Long Jump with a distance of 20’1/2 and placed 1st in the 100 M dash with a time of 11.06; Quentin Kirk placed 5th in the 3200 M with a time of 10:46.61 and placed 3rd in the 1600 M with a time of 4:41.17; Cameron Moore placed 8th in the 3200 M with a time of 11:12.82; Issac Shelton placed 8th in the High Jump with a distance of 5’6; Edna boys team of Issac Shelton, Holton Newbern, Austin Sparks and Cale Hollas placed 3rd with a time of 44.35; Carson Price placed 5th in the 800 M with a time of 2:07.28; Neil Barton placed 5th in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.58 and placed 4th in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.18; Tyler Clay placed 5th in the 100 M dash with a time of 11.27; Cale Hollas placed 3rd in the 200 M dash with a time of 23.86; Shermeka Thompson placed 6th in Shot Put with a distance of 31’3 and placed 2nd 101’6.5; Crystal Coulter placed 1st in the High Jump with a distance of 5’3; Kimberly Ortolon placed 3rd in the High Jump with a distance of 4’10 and placed 4th in the Pole Vault with a distance of 9’; Edna girls team: Iranesha Kuykendall, Kamryn Roman, Ashley Myers and Tishinna Wilkins placed 2nd in the 4x100 with a time of 51.46; Edna girls team: Kamryn Roman, Tishinna Wilkins, Ashley Myers and Kiera Gaskin placed 3rd in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:51.20; Regan Morrow placed 5th in the 800 M with a time of 2:39.77 and placed 5th in the 1600 M with a time of 5:56.29; Iranesha Kuykendall placed 8th in the 100 M dash with a time of 13.37; Edna girls team: Tishinna Wilkins, Regan Morrow, Crystal Coulter and Alex Andres placed 3rd in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:18.23
    Results for Ganado: Ganado varsity boys placed 5th with 59 points. Austin Alford placed 6th in the Discus with a distance of 111’8”; Kameron Smith placed 1st in the High Jump with a distance of 5’8; Chase Svatek placed 3rd in the Pole Vault with a distance of 11’6; Kameron Smith placed 1st in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.84, and Clay Vesely placed second with a time of 16.82; Ganado boys team: Braydan Andel, Dalton Service, Garrett McCann and Kameron Smith placed 4th in the boys 4x200 relay with a time of 1:35.415; Ganado boys team: Clay Vesely, Dalton Service, Garrett McCann and Isreal Cruz placed 7th in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:51.418; Clay Vesely placed first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.12, and Kameron Smith placed 3rd with a time of 44.81.
