Lady Cobras bring in first place
The Industrial Cobras achieved a 6-1 win over Edna on April 15. Madison Garza racked up two RBIs on one hit for her team and she tripled in the second inning.
Garza's six strikeouts were enough, she allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over seven innings.
Edna’s Kirstie Soto ended up being charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out one.
The Cobras scored one run on an RBI double by Landry Mikulec and added three more runs in the fourth and Darcie Moreno started the inning with a double.
The Cobras shut the door early on Tidehaven, capturing a 15-0 victory on April 17. The game was decided quickly as Industrial exerted its will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.
A wild pitch, a three-run home run by Jordin Jones, an error, and an RBI double by Jessica Martin in the second inning supplied the early offense. Jones racked up four RBIs on two hits for her team.
Landry Mikulec brought the heat during her outing. Tidehaven managed just one hit off of Mikulec, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during her 2 1/3 innings of work.
Garza pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings and struck out three, walked one and gave up a hit.
After posting four runs in the third, the Cobras again scored four in the fourth. In the third, they scored on an RBI single by Moreno.
The inning looked promising, as Tristan Hensley singled, plating Cierra Borak to kick things off. That was followed up by Landry's double, plating Reagan Gasch and Hensley.
