‘We ‘mustache’ you a question’
The Eleanor Brackenridge Literary Club held its Fifth Annual Trivia Night on March 28 at the Jackson County Services Building in Edna. According to event organizer Diann Walleck, there were 26 teams participating this year, which was a club record. Included in the participants was Fred Westhoff who received a ribbon denoting him to be an “original” since he has attended every Trivia Night thus far. Walleck said there were about 30 other loyal contestants who were also honored that evening. Participating teams included local organizations, businesses, schools, churches, families, and some out-of-town groups. Winners of Eleanor Awards were Masters, J-5 Ranch, first place; Superior Eleanor, Treble Makers, second place; Excellent Eleanor, First United Methodist Church, third place. Members of the Jackson County Retired Service Personnel’s “Meloy’s Marauders” trimmed their mustaches for the evening. From left are Mary Sheblak, Gail Jordan, Bobby Meloy, and Alice Figirova.
