Girls regional powerlifting results from Palacios

    The Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Region 4 Division 3 Powerlifting Meet was held in Palacios on Feb. 26. The Edna Cowgirls placed second overall with a score of 37 points, the Ganado Indians placed fourth with a total of 15 points, the Industrial Cobras placed fifth with an overall score of 13 points. Individual scores are as follows:

    Ganado’s Claudia Ayala, Zoe Valdez, Alexis Alfaro, Aliz Luera, Sara Demicelli, Industrial’s Haley Wood, Edna’s Dolly Ortiz, Kamryn Johnson, Laura Garcia, Mikala James, three-year state qualifier Kamryn Roman, and will be competing at the State meet in Corpus Christi on March 15.
    The boys Regional meet was on Saturday, March 1, in Cleveland. The results from that meet will be in the sports section next week, March 12.
