Cowboys turning up the pressure for San Antonio
The Edna Cowboys played the Bloomington Bobcats on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and won, 64-52, even though Coach Steve Ortiz said the team didn’t play really well.
“We shot the ball horribly and we didn’t hit a three-pointer at all in the first half,” he said. “But we were doing what we were supposed to be doing. For some reason we were all cold on the same day.”
Terek Dilworth scored 24 points and Austin Sparks scored 16 points and eight rebounds. Travis Farquhar scored 11 points and Brandon Nidey had seven assists.
“We were down by seven points at halftime, so we turned up the pressure in the second half, did some things differently and took the Bloomington team off guard,” Ortiz said.
The Edna Cowboys will have played San Antonio Cole on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Flatonia.
