Celebrate Texas History

Jackson County Judge Dennis Simons signed a proclamation and declared the month of March to be Texas History Month in Jackson County. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Texana Chapter, is urging every household and business in Jackson County to fly a Texas flag on every Texas Honor Day, which are Texas Independent Day and Texas Flag Day on March 2; Alamo Heroes Day on March 6 and Goliad Heroes Day on March 27. In no specific order are DRT’s Sue Quinn, Carollin Geldart, Judy Turner, Brenda Novosad and County Judge Dennis Simons.
