Industrial girls work rebounds

The Industrial Cobras (7-8) (1-3) played against Columbia on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and lost, 56-45. 
The Cobras also played Faith Academy on Friday, Dec. 20, and lost 26-42, with Kameron Smith as the team’s leading scorer with seven points.
“Defensively, we played well enough to win, we just didn’t make many buckets in the second half,” said Head Coach John Armstrong. “We will continue to work at it and we will get better,” he said.
The female Cobras (12-4) (1-1) played Aransas Pass on Tuesday, Dec. 17 and won, 67-53.
Kelsey Van Pelt scored 31 points, and Jessica Martin scored 13 points. Cousins Morgan and Hannah Gabrysch scored six points apiece, and Sierra Pruitt scored five points. H. Gabrysch and Pruitt added three steals each.
The ladies played again against  Bloomington on Dec. 20, there, and won, 48-47.
Martin scored 18 points and 18 rebounds, and Van Pelt scored 16 points, six rebounds and five steals. Jade Trowbridge scored six points and seven rebounds.
The junior varsity Cobra ladies played against Aransas Pass as well on Dec. 17, and won, 40-10.
Lillian Hill scored eight points, 12 rebounds, a block and two steals, plus Kalli Ellis added five points, 13 rebounds and two steals. Jasmine DeLong also scored five points, four rebounds and seven steals. Heaven Trowbridge scored five points, five rebounds and a steal, plus Ariana Brito made four points, four rebounds and three steals.
