Hazel Taylor

Hazel Louise Weiser Taylor, 85, of Ganado, passed away Nov. 11, 2013. She was born July 11, 1928 in Ganado to the late Theodore Joseph and Ida Belle Weiser of Ganado. Hazel was a homemaker and devoted mother to her three children.
Her family was the most important thing to her. She spent many hours with her grandchildren combing the beaches looking for seashells. Seashells, buttons, baskets and rocks from various travels were all part of her cherished collections, as well as making family photo albums. As an only child Hazel grew up under the watchful eye of her loving parents. She was a long-time believer in the Pentecostal faith. It was at Rogers, Ark. where she met and courted the love of her life, William Arthell Taylor. They spent many of their dates and social activities at church or the corner drug store. After William proposed, at the top of a ferris wheel, they were married in Rogers, Ark., Aug. 16, 1946. Their favorite song was, "Have I told you lately that I love you". They celebrated 48 years of marriage before his death on Oct. 17, 1994.
Hazel is survived by her son, Robin William Taylor and his wife Linda of Louise, a daughter, Pamela Joyce Bailey and her husband Bruce, of Corpus Christi. Also surviving are her grandchildren Thomas Taylor, Howard Hultquist, Timothy and Hannah Bailey and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Elizabeth Marlene Walker of Ganado, last year on Oct. 24, 2012.
