Ellis takes fourth grand champion win at fair

Standing next to the 1,230 pound steer, Industrial High School sophomore Kalli Ellis is poised and confident. She handles the large animal with the experience gained from many hours spent walking, feeding, and bathing it. Her face lights up with a smile as the judge at the Jackson County Youth Fair declares her steer, Thomas Jefferson, the 2013 grand champion.
