Ganado ISD voters pass TRE

Taxpayers in the Ganado Independent School District voted to ratify the $1.17 maintenance and operations tax rate during the Aug. 6 tax ratification election. The overall results were 60 for and 7 against.
The TRE will not result in an increase in the total tax rate because the board will lower the interest and sinking fund tax rate to match this year’s total tax rate, which is $1.2082, Ganado ISD Superintendent Jeff Black said.
