Anton Mader

Anton "Tony" Mader, Sr., age 85 of El Campo passed away Aug. 4, 2013 in Ganado. He was born Oct. 29, 1928 in Caldwell to the late Vince Mader and Mary Matcek Mader Lincecum.
He moved to Pierce when he was 6 weeks old.
He is survived by sons, Charles Mader of Corpus Christi, Dennis Mader of Angleton, Anton "Tony" Mader, Jr. of Ganado, Barney David Mader of Leander; daughters, Sandi Janis of Wallis, Mary Horton of Edna; brother, John Mader of Ganado; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Mader; daughter, Juanita Hoffman, brothers, Vinc, Ludwig "L.J.", and Frank.
Family visition was Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Wheeler Funeral Home. Funeral service was on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at Memorial Baptist Church with a burial that followed at Lakeview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Phillip Mader, Kelly Mader, Casey Mader, Justin Hoffman, Russell Horton, Madison Beveridge and McKenzie Beveridge. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, Carey Gaukler, Daphne Davis, Sonia Blumstein, Meredith Lecocke, Monica Fowler, Amanda Pryor, Lauren Mader, Amanda Pryor, Stephanie Cunningham and Marguerite Beveridge.
