Edna Talley

Edna Talley, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. She was born July 10, 1930 in Edna, to the late John Henry Long, Sr, and Julia McAlister Long.
Edna was a nurse in Jackson County for 38 years. She is survived by her son, Gerry Talley and wife Michelle and a
brother, Donald Long and wife Helen. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Texas Crockett Talley, a son, Wayne Talley, sisters, Grace Harvey,
Cleo Huey, Ina Mae Baker, brothers, C.H."Buck" Long, A.J. Long and John Henry Long, Jr.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. till service time at 10 a.m. Saturday Aug. 3 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel in Edna with Mr. Steve Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
Services are under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N.Allen St., 361-782-2152.
