Teenagers injured from car accident

Edna’s Anthony Stevens, 19, and Drakkar Miller, 16, sustained injuries from a car accident that occurred at 7:52 p.m. on July 28 on County Road 306 in Edna. Both were transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Stevens was driving at an unsafe speed westbound on County Road 306 when he drove off the road to the right in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant said. The vehicle struck several trees at the right side of the vehicle before striking a ditch, which caused the vehicle to flip over.
Bryant said the speed limit on County Road 306 is 45 mph.
The investigating officer is DPS Trooper Matt Southall.
