EISD begins search for new superintendent

The Edna Independent School District Board of Trustees is enlisting some help in the search for a new Edna ISD superintendent.
Edna ISD Board of Trustees approved hiring Texas Association of School Boards to assist them with locating and recruiting a new superintendent at their July 15 regular meeting. TASB provides executive search services, said Edna ISD Board of Trustees President Patrick Brzozowski.
Bob Wells remains the Edna superintendent for now, but he gave his resignation at the June meeting after it became clear the board wanted to move in a different direction.
The board move discussed selecting a superintendent search firm at the July regular meeting. All board members agreed using TASB would be the most effective way in finding a new superintendent. Brzozowski said the Edna ISD Board of Trustees is a member of TASB so they are most familiar with the schools here than other search firms. Brzozowski did not comment on how much it would cost to use TASB.
