Edwin Simons

Edwin L. "Sonny" Simons, 83, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born on Dec. 7, 1929, in Edna to the late Milam and Lillian Hensley Simons.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Susie Jordan Simons, daughters, Martha Jenkins, Donna Baker; sons, Laval Simons, Darrell Simons; sister, Charolette Workman; brother, Milam Simons Jr.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, W.T. Simons and daughter, Lynda Wiley.
Graveside services were held on July 20 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna, with Rev. David King officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to American Cancer Society.
