Dollar General opens new store

Ganado citizens will be saving dollars once again with Dollar General re-opening in a new location. They will no longer have to make the trip to Edna’s Dollar General, which opened in 1997.
Dollar General celebrated its new location by having a grand opening on July 13.
Dollar General once was opened in Ganado several years ago before closing. The new store is located at 308 N. 3rd Street. The business hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Ganado’s Dollar General will employ six to 10 employees, depending on the need of the store. Anyone interested in joining the Dollar General team can apply for positions online at www.dollargeneral.com/careers.
Dollar General Representative Crystal W. Ghassemi who is accredited in public relations said meeting customers’ needs is Dollar General’s top priority when choosing store locations.
“We look for places where we can offer customers an easy and convenient shopping choice,” Ghassemi said. “We also take demographic trends, competitive factors and traffic patterns into consideration. We know convenience is a major factor in our customers’ shopping decisions as we generally serve customers within a 3-5 mile radius, or 10 minute drive. This new location is a great fit for Dollar General.”
