Marcell Hubenak

 

Marcell William Hubenak, 76, of Brazoria passed on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born on January 2, 1937 in Ganado, Texas to Ignas and Mary Hubenak.

 

He was a member of Grace Bible Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he received a Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was an outdoors person and enjoyed fishing, hunting and ranching. After many years in the construction businesss, he retired and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren dearly. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Hubenak, Ed Hubenak, Larry Hubenak and Ignas Hubenak, Jr. and sister, Mary Hubenak.

 

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years; Jenieve Hubenak of Brazoria; daughter, Tracy Braun of Pasadena; step-daughters, Rebecca Hollen and husband Gary of Oyster Creek, Theresia Zarate and husband Epifanio of Edna and Diane Pate and husband Troy of Beaufort, North Carolina; sister, Sylvia Hubenak of Edna; brother-in-laws, Charlie Tater and wife Marjorie of Victoria and Marvin Tater and wife Paula of Alvin; sister-in-laws, Betty Hubenak of Johnson City, Janet Tater and Charlene Hubenak both of Edna, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

 

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria with Pastor Ernie Hutchings officiating.

 

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
