EISD Board accepts Wells' resignation

Edna Independent School District Superintendent Bob Wells will be leaving his job next year. Edna ISD Board of Trustees accepted his resignation during a special meeting on June 24. According to Wells, his resignation will go into effect June 30, 2014.
“We are negotiating about me leaving before then,” he said.
The board voted 6-0 to accept his resignation after an hour-long executive session. During the executive session, the board and the district’s attorney discussed the employment and a possible resignation agreement with the superintendent. Wells said they did so in case he were to leave earlier than June 30, 2014.
