Amanda Blaire Kohlenberg and John Stephen Nelson of Chickasha, Okla.  announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. The bride-elect is the daughter of Michael and Tara Kohlenberg of New Braunfels and the granddaughter of Stanley Kohlenberg of New Braunfels and the late Viola Kohlenberg and Gary and June Voigt of Borger. She is a graduate of Canyon High School and received her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University. The prospective groom is the son of Charles, Jr. and Donna Nelson of Inez. He is the grandson of Charles Sr. and Gwendolyn Nelson of Inez and Robert and JoAnn Moody of Jourdanton and the late John Ryan. He is a graduate of Industrial High School and received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in reproductive physiology from New Mexico State University and doctorate in reproductive physiology from Texas A&M University. The couple will continue to reside in Chickasha, Okla. where they own and operate a bovine embryo transfer company, Nelson Embryo Services, Inc., along with Nelson Show Cattle. They will exchange vows in a private ceremony and a reception will be held on Aug. 10, 2013 at the Inez Community Center in Inez.
