Fire destroys families' home

Everyone hears about fires in the news, but nobody expects it will happen to them.
When it does happen, a fire has the capability to damage everything that one holds dearly to them in just a blink of an eye.
Harold Hicks said he and his brother Larry’s family lost everything in just 20 minutes when their home in Lolita was severely damaged by a fire that broke out on June 12 in the 100 block of Elm Street.
Hicks said everything he worked hard for in his whole life was destroyed. Keepsakes and photos filled with memories were no longer in existence. The only memories that he will have are stored in his mind.
