Principal to be honored in June

Dianne Juroske, principal of Industrial Elementary West, said in order to be a good principal they have to make sure they have a good staff and good teachers. Principals also have to act professional and do a good job, she said.
“They put their students first,” Juroske said. “They are also competitive enough that they will give everything that they can, whether it be working through lunches or whatever trying to give individual time to the students.”
Juroske was recently named District 3 Texas Elementary Principal and Supervisors Association’s Principal of the Year. She said the teachers and staff are really the ones that should be recognized.
Juroske said she wasn’t expecting the good news about her being principal of the year, but when she did it was a great honor.S “It was a shock,” she said. “I didn’t know it was coming at all and where I am at my career it is a great privilege to be recognized by your peers.”
