County clean up is May

The Jackson County Transfer Station will hold a free clean-up day on Saturday, May 4.
Items that will be accepted include untreated wood, brush, yard trimmings, scrap metal, appliances, concrete, ceramics and up to five passenger tires.
Only waste from residents of Jackson County will be included in the free clean up. Business waste, roofing materials and sheet rock will be accepted and charged regular rates.
All waste items must be separated for disposal. If not separated, residents will be charged regular fees.
Hazardous waste cannot be accepted at any time.
The transfer station is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and is located off U.S. Hwy 59 on CR 414.
