It was a clean sweep for Edna

The City of Edna kicked off its annual Clean Sweep on April 12. A number of items, such as furniture, window frames, carpet and plywood were taken to the Edna city barn on N. Kleas Street from April 12-13. The items were unloaded and put into dumpsters. Edna City employees Hunter Hicks, left, and Eddie Granados unload items to get them ready to be hauled off. Sheila Miller, code enforcement officer for the city, said the city won’t know how much trash was collected during the sweep until next week.
