Edna store sells $6 million lotto ticket

Mike and Debbie Van Pelt of Ganado are just as anxious as everyone else to know the identity of the $6 million winner of Saturday’s Lotto Texas drawing. Their store, Conner’s Corner Store in Edna, sold the winning ticket.
According to the Texas Lottery Commission website, there was only one winning ticket sold in the April 13 lotto and the winner chose their own numbers. They will have two options to collect their winnings – either as an annuity which would give them $5 million or taking the cash, which amounts to $3.5 million after taxes. Any way you look at it, it is a healthy chunk of change.
