Volunteers spent most of the day on April 6 helping with a makeover on the building that will one day host the Jackson County Happy Tails’ shelter. Kari Hayden, left, and Angela Dunbar, Happy Tails president, put some muscle into the steps of the shelter which is located at 1787 US HWY 59 S. in Edna.
