Kelley was arrested in New Caney

Rick Boone, investigator at the Jackson County Sheriff’s office, said Everett Kelley of Woodville was arrested in New Caney after the sheriff’s department received a Crime Stopper tip in reference to a stolen $60,000 RV camper from the city limits of Ganado.
“We did retrieve more than one RV,” he said. “Two were from our county and one was from Baytown.”
Boone said one of the RV campers was declared totaled by the insurance company, so the owners received compensation for the RV camper from the insurance company.
Kelley, 48, received a life sentence for the theft of the $60,000 RV camper on Feb. 28 by District Judge Jack W. Marr. Jackson County District Attorney Bobby Bell said Kelley has eight previous felony convictions and has been in prison six times. Bell said the sentence was based off of the habitual statute law, which applies to those with two or more felony convictions prior to the offense.
