Boosters will host Fun Ride

The sound of roaring engines from motorcycles will be heard outside the KJT Hall in Ganado on Saturday, March 23 during the 3rd Annual Motorcycle Fun ride and Chili/Dessert Cook-off, sponsored by the Ganado Band Boosters.
Band Director Patrick Flaniken said the proceeds from the event will go to the Ganado Band Boosters. The Band Boosters will use the proceeds for a band scholarship and the band’s meals and equipment.
“It all goes back to the kids in one way or another,” he said.
Flaniken said all participants will be either driving or riding motorcycles on a route that is at least 100 miles long through the countryside. Each bike rider will make five stops and will receive a token at each stop. There also will be a raffle, 50/50, best bike show, which will be judged by students and more. He said it will be the first time that the Ganado Band Boosters will be presenting a Chili/Dessert Cook-off. Flaniken said he hopes the cook-off will draw more participants.
